Young people who are given early access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) tend to become early adapter of technologies, spurring innovation and economic growth. With internet, young people have acquired a powerful new tool to communicate, innovate and take action on things that matter to them.
Technology, Infrastructure, Application:
There are various stages of decision making and delivery of ICT based services in terms of typical value chain. The ICT components include mix of hardware, software and services. For example, an Internet, a computer, printer, webcam, modem, power back up, and software to enable standard internet browsing as well as handle specialized
tasks such as education in local language, agricultural information, e- governance and entertainment etc. The organizational structure necessary for the delivery of rural IT services typically requires commercial goals of Profitability for its sustainability. To handle the infrastructure for ICT service delivery requires youth with skills and talent. It requires training of rural operator where they are formal franchises or independent former operators.
